Fashionista...I'm not

Image
Just to document for MYSELF what I'm wearing these days and to give you another idea of what I meant by updating my "style" as if I have any style. Today's look... The blouse is a one I bought last year so it's a size or two too big but that actually works in my favor. It's large enough to cover my boo-tay in these black jeggings.  The sweater is also a size or two too large but it's cozy. I need new flats but I love these. They're Wal-Mart specials and I've had them forever! They're starting to show their age, though. I'm actually just now getting back into wearing flats. Now that my foot doesn't care what shoe I wear and hurts 24/7 I figure I might as well wear cute shoes. *shrug*

I've been shaking up my wardrobe a bit lately. If you've been following my other blog I there's a bit about my wardrobe updates and body image and all that. Today's ensemble was a casual Friday look that I wasn't all that sure about when I left the house because I'm used to looking like a baggy pants'd frump. I feel young today so I'll totally take it. For kicks, I took a pic in the full length bathroom mirror and sent it to Emmy for her thoughts. Asked her if I passed for a teenager. Her response was, "OMG You're so cute!" cry laughing emoji, heart emoji So...was that "you...

Life update

I have been celebrating Sis2's 41st birthday for an entire week. Meals out, time with the her and the kiddos. It's been fun but I'm ready to get back into a less celebratory routine because it's also meant spending a lot of extra time with the parental units, who I love dearly, but who also seem to trigger my depression. By Saturday night, I was so jacked up I couldn't sleep and then cried all the way to church yesterday morning. I dread Christmas. Wonder if I can figure out a way to be out of town that week? Anyway, if you haven't been following my other blog, you may not know...I've actually lost 27lbs and am officially down two pants sizes since I started working at it in June. I physically feel so much better, other than my janky foot and (when I'm not around my parents) feel so much more confident and happy. Libby is doing okay. She's had a hard summer with bug bites that scabbed over, some minor allergy problems, and anal gland issues (TM...
