Yesteryear

A couple of months ago, I gave an uncle my old laptop. He had a use for it and I couldn't afford to repair it so I gave it to him. When I did so, I asked him to get the pictures off of it that I had saved to it. He sent the disk by my mom this weekend and added a few surprises on there. Wanna see Jana as a child? LOL

This is my grandparents on my mother's side. My biological grandmother who died when my mother was about 10 or so with Pa-Paw. I'd seen a few pictures of her but never one of them together. Rumor has it that my step-grandmother destroyed them all after she and Pa-Paw married. This one must have been one that Uncle saved from my great grandmother's house a couple of years ago.

This is me and Sis2. (I'm on the right, in case you couldn't tell.) Don't know what that look on my face was about. There's really no telling. LOL

This is a portrait of the three of us. I think I was around a year old in this one.


And this one, I think I was around seven or eight. My granny made the dresses that Sis2 and I are wearing but she got the color choices confused. I had wanted the blue and Sis2 wanted the pink. We couldn't trade, 'cause, yeah. Obvious size difference there. Dig Sis1's hair! lol


I think I was about three in this one. Don't we all look so happy? LOL I hated having my portrait taken back then. (still do, but at least I don't cry these days! hehehe) And yeah, mother had super long hair back then. Down to her butt. She hated it but Daddy loved long hair. She didn't cut it until I was about five or six, I think. He had a fit at the time but got over it. ;-)

Love the pic of your grandparents. I wish I could find a photo of my maternal g'father. Someone in the family absconded with the two Mom remembers after g'ma died, and - of course - everyone now claims they never saw them. Nice, huh?

As for the group sibling pictures...those poses seem eerily familiar. *Shudders at the memories*

Boy.  Last night was the most intense 2.5 hours of my LIFE. Well, the part of my life that I relegate to television viewing, anyway. Last night, as you may have heard, was THE END for LOST. Me and the boob tube

Ever met someone who is passionate about her TV shows? Well, if not, you have now. Yeah, I'm probably fairly sad with how involved I become with some shows but believe me...I know some folks who are a LOT worse than me. Just trust me on this. I have maybe a handful of shows that I watch without fail whenever they're on and set my VCR to tape if I'm out. (Yeah, I still have a VCR...and I will until they no longer make 'em) Monday night is Medium night. Tuesday night is BB6 in the summer Charmed on TNT in fall. Wednesday is Lost and Alias (in regular season anyway) Thursday night is BB6 in summer and Will and Grace in fall. Friday night sucks since they cancelled Joan of Arcadia. Saturday night is BB6 in summer and Trading Spaces. Sunday night is Desperate Housewives and The 4400 in summer. Everyday things are Gilmore Girls on ABC Family, 30 Minute Meals on Food Network and Bold and the Beautiful. Last night, of course, was BB6. Now, I'm not one to enjoy many reality ...

Ten Things That Make Me Happy Today

1.) Chuck . Chuck makes me very happy. I'm still flying high from the time I spent with him last night. Seriously, it's like the second Zachary Levi walks on screen and gives that trademark smile my heart goes all gooey in my chest and my lips curve up all dreamy smile-ish and for that one hour each Monday night I'm on cloud nine. Pitiful, no? 2.) Her. 'Nuff said. 3.) My friends. All of 'em. Ms. B who I only get to see once a month and chat on the phone every few weeks. E who talks me into field trips to Starbucks so that we can blame each other for being bad. Trix who hated the way Medium ended, too. (And always sends me the awesomest handmade cards.) BFF who calls once a month to update me on the ever shifting drama of her life. (She's doing much better, by the way. Goes back to work next week.)
