Crazy week
This week has just been bonkers. We've had two people out sick in our department which leaves three of us (and a handful of in and out student assistants) to man the fort. Not fun. Juggling projects and desk times will really take it out of a girl.
Fortunately it's also been a quiet week in our department. All the "kids" are hunkered down preparing for finals which begin Friday. Whoo boy! Where did the semester go, exactly? For that matter, where did the YEAR go?? Seriously, shouldn't it be, like, March or something? *shakes head*
At anyrate, I'm so looking forward to the Christmas break. I'm going to start praying now for a peaceful two weeks. Heck, make that a peaceful MONTH. After the madness of this past year (especially the last six months of it) I could definitely use a little peace and quiet in my life for at least this one month.
Speaking of madness, though, update on BFF!
She is at home and I got a message from her on Facebook. She still can't talk properly and only has the use of one hand. Her entire right side is numb--arm and leg, and the left side of her face is numb. She's using a walker to get around. But she said she finally got all of her labs back and it appears that she does have Multiple Sclerosis. She is going to a neurologist next week to figure out treatment and is hoping to get into and MS treatment for rehabilitation. With treatment, she should be back to "normal" at some point. She's scared but thankful to finally know what's going on and to have some hope to return to her normal life.
So thanks for all the prayers and I just ask that ya'll keep praying!
Paw-Paw H is getting better every day, so thanks for the prayers for him, as well.
And, just because it pleases me, so...
The Devil Pup helping me gather dirty towels.
Just what ya'll always wanted to see on here...My dirty laundry!
:-D

Glad you finally heard from your friend, and that they now have a diagnosis they can work with. One of my cousin's has MS, and it's amazing what they can do to manage it these days. Here's hoping friend is back on her feet soon!
